The ability to create a professional portfolio allows you to, not only document your achievements and growth as a professional teacher, but provides a mechanism for showcasing your abilities and talents to support your professional growth.
While you may be required, as part of your course-work, to create ePortfolios that have a specific focus and function, ultimately when you graduate your professional portfolio will be a personal expression of your growth, achievements and philosophy. You may have a 'working ePortfolio' which becomes a repository for all of your work while at University and then, using the evidence you have collected, develop a 'showcase' designed specifically for employment and/or promotion purposes. Dynamic, reflectiveand changing are essential elements that should be present regardless of the format or type of eportfolio that you eventually create.
